Composite Decking Maintenance & Aftercare

Composite Decking Maintenance & Aftercare

Once your longlife composite deck is installed saige longlife decking is virtually maintenance free.

Composite DeckingNormal maintenance of the composite deck can be done by sweeping or scrubbing the floor, or by using a garden hose or ideally a high-pressure hose.

To avoid damage, make sure there is enough distance between the nozzle and SAiGE’s longlife composite decking. We recommend that you test a small area first. and make sure that you spray in the direction of the grain to avoid damaging the deck.

Please note that the boards will fade by approximately 10%-15% after installation within the first 2-3 months, after this the colour pigments stabilise.

SAiGE Decking do not recommend installing the boards “smooth” side up other than for bordering or framing in deck due to the higher levels of maintenance needed on the smooth alternative side.
